God is enough. How many times do we say this to ourselves? If we are honest, maybe some of us have never said it, some once in a while, but I do not feel that we could honestly say that phrase is one that frequents our lips. Are we preaching the gospel of Christ? What do our words, actions, and everyday living say about not only us, but who Christ is? Is the message of our lives consistent with that of the gospel of Jesus Christ, or have we misconstrued it to look like it is something easy? Are people seeing this so called gospel as a rewards system, that if you follow Jesus, he gives you what you want?
As I read through scripture, I do not find a gospel that preaches this type of ideology. I find that more often than not, Jesus was turning people away from following him because the life that they would be called to would be one of hardship, pain, and suffering. Not one of cars, wealth and comfort.
God is most glorified in you, when you are most satisfied in Him!
