So send I you to labor unrewarded,
To serve unpaided, unloved, unsought, unknown,
To bear rebuke, to suffer scorn and scoffing-
So send I you to toil for me alone.
So send I you to bind the bruised and broken,
O'er wand'ring souls to work, to weep, to wake,
To bear the burdens of a world aweary-
So send I you to suffer for My sake.
So send I you to loneliness and longing,
With heart ahung'ring for the loved and known,
Forsaking home and kindred, friend and dear one-
So send I you to know My love alone.
So send I you to leave your life's ambition,
To die to dear desire, self-will resign,
To labor long, and love where men revile you-
So send I you to love your life in Mine.
So send I you to hearts made hard by hatred,
To eyes made blind because they will not see,
To spend, tho' it be blood, to spend and spare not-
So send I you to taste of Calvary.

.how.big.is.your.God.
This is from my daily devotional, & I loved it so I just wanted to share:
“If you ask anything in my name, I will do it” (John 14:14). We show the measure of our Christ by what we ask in his name. We are told to ask largely and to expect great things. We show forth the greatness of Christ by the greatness of our supplications. We have so little of Christ because we ask so
little.
We limit our supplications to material things. True, we are to make our needs known. But to ask only for food and shelter is to diminish our vision of his greatness.
The kingdom of God is “joy, peace in the Holy Ghost!” We serve a triumphant Christ—and we are called to share in the triumph. Do you have joy, peace in the Holy Ghost? Do you go to his throne, asking for joy and peace? Do you ask the Father “in the name of Jesus”?
Christ did not triumph for himself. He did so for you and me. So we get the benefit from it. Do you ask for more of Christ’s likeness? Do you ask in faith, in Jesus’ name, for the promised rest in Hebrews?
God is waiting for and desiring greater requests. Asking “in Jesus’ name” is an invitation to share in God’s great goodness laid up for those who believe and who ask largely. Ask today for an ever increasing spirit of rejoicing, even in your most trying times.
What about the hungry crowd of 5,000 in the New Testament when Jesus asked his disciples what they should do? In other words, show me your plan to feed them. What can be done to meet this crisis? He tested their faith.
All along, Jesus had a plan! Who in that mass of people could have conceived of feeding them with five loaves of bread and two fish?
Beloved, God has a preconceived plan for every situation in your life. You may be able to think of ways God could solve your crisis—but God’s Word tells us that the human mind cannot conceive the ways of God.
God will not tell us what his plan is. He will not even give us a hint. He insists on our having faith in his promises, his majesty, he past miracles on our behalf. His Word to us is: Believe! Your Lord has a way prepared—and he has the power to fulfill his plan. He would love to pull back the curtain and
show us a passing view of his invisible ways—but he cannot.
Faith is evidence that cannot be seen. There can be no rest for us in our fiery trials until we fully believe he stands ready—in readiness to do the unthinkable, the impossible. Our part is to simply trust he will perform what he promised.

.encountered.by.love.
We were made to be in a love relationship not with another human being, but with our heavenly Father. He pursues us with a passionate love, unlike any other. This love is so deep, it is the only thing we need. His love is jealous, desiring for us to love Him first, and Him only. We were not made to live in sin or be bound to the world. We were made to have a love encounter with God. The love of God changes us, we are not the same when we have this encounter. I have had the most incredible love encounter with God while on this trip. I cannot remember a time in my life where I felt freer, where God has completely changed my life, and where love abounds and overflows in my life. I fought God’s love, grace, and mercy for years. The freedom I have found has changed me. I allowed anger and bitterness to take control of my life and ruin relationships, but God has changed me! I couldn’t have ever changed any of this myself, but only through God and His love are we made whole again. True joy in its purest form, love like I have never experienced has filled me and I am able to show that and express it to others. God has truly encountered me and everything in my life like never before. God wants to have a love encounter with all of us. I thank God that I am not the same that His love met me in such an incredible and tangible way!

.twenty.three.
WooHoo! I have officially made it to 23, quite an accomplishment I guess. I know I am just a baby still and am growing, learning and maturing daily, but I cannot help but look back on what I remember of the past 23 years, or maybe 20 some years, because I don't really remember much from birth till who knows how old. When I look back all I can say is this:Twenty three years with you God! It hasn't been an easy or charming road, but I couldn't be more thankful that you walked it with me. I love you! Thank you for your saving grace, your mercy, & your love. I cannot say that I would be here today without you. All of my heart cry's thank you faithful Savior!
Life has been more incredible than I even have words for. I am so entirely captivated by the love of God. To be in His presence is a radical place. Believe me you will be overwhelmed more than you can stand. I have come to know Him and the fullness of what grace & mercy mean. Learning to live in a constant state of surrender is hard, but it will mold you into who God has created you to be. I stand confident today being able to say this, God , even if you never do anything else, it is okay, because You have already done enough! Through everything, God has taught me to always have a heart of gratitude. He is my love & my life."love is beautiful, but it is also terrible--terrible in its determination to allow nothing blemished or unworthy to remain in the beloved" -Hinds'FeetonHighPlaces-

.God.is.enough.
God is enough. How many times do we say this to ourselves? If we are honest, maybe some of us have never said it, some once in a while, but I do not feel that we could honestly say that phrase is one that frequents our lips. Are we preaching the gospel of Christ? What do our words, actions, and everyday living say about not only us, but who Christ is? Is the message of our lives consistent with that of the gospel of Jesus Christ, or have we misconstrued it to look like it is something easy? Are people seeing this so called gospel as a rewards system, that if you follow Jesus, he gives you what you want?
As I read through scripture, I do not find a gospel that preaches this type of ideology. I find that more often than not, Jesus was turning people away from following him because the life that they would be called to would be one of hardship, pain, and suffering. Not one of cars, wealth and comfort.
God is most glorified in you, when you are most satisfied in Him!
