Dear Friends and Family,Hey everyone! It has been a long journey, but the end is near and I will be graduating from ASU with a marketing degree in May. Everything is getting down to the wire with projects, papers and tests in sight, yet everything has been amazing and I am looking forward to this summer.
I was really unsure about going on a missions trip this summer, but I started looking at trips and found this one to the Philippines. After praying about it, I really felt like this was the direction that I needed to go this summer. I will be in the Philippines for two months, June 3 through August 6, and I am really excited to have the privilege of going on this trip. I am going to be joining 6 other college age students from across the U.S. and we will all be meeting up in the Philippines. The 7 of us will be working with missionary couple. They personally invited all of us and it will be a privilege to work beside them.
This trip will be a 2-month missions internship, which will give me a better idea of what full-time missions really looks like. Our intern program, MIP (Missions Internship Philippines) begins with one week of training at the Global Missions Center at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary. We will then have the opportunity to serve side-by-side with nationals and local missionaries. The best part is that we will get to experience a wide variety of ministry opportunities including preaching, teaching, evangelism, campus ministry, children’s ministry, street outreach, medical ministry, orphanage ministry, & more.
As you can imagine, I need some assistance from those that believe in me. I need your encouragement and support as I begin this journey to a foreign country. I have made my decision to wholeheartedly join together with other students to take what we have been given here in America and share it with those in need. I want to make a difference at home and around the world.
I am going to need help financially. I am raising my own funds and if you could help me, it would be greatly appreciated. The cost of my trip is $4,000. If I do not come up with all of the money, I will pay for the rest of the trip myself because I know that this is where God is leading me. The last thing I want is to make this letter a burden. I want it to be an opportunity for those who cannot go to help send! If you feel led, please email me and I will get you information on how to help financially support me. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I cannot wait to share with you what God did in the lives of people in the Philippines.
In Christ’s Love,
Jinnae Morgan
