Will We Be A Contagious Generation? October 9, 2007

I think that we have been called to be a now generation. Not to sit back and passively let the world pass us by. We need to be the generation that gets up and asks the questions and makes the difference. I think that we are so capable of great things, but we have seen the generations who have gone before us that have not tried to be more. I guess the real question is what and who are we living for and are we willing to live out what we believe and start a revolution?

I am pretty sure that we have all be one of those people who are in on something big. Maybe a party, surprise, big event, or whatever the case is. We get so excited for it and go about telling everyone and getting people pumped up about it. Like a fire and we want everyone else to have that fire, it’s almost like our excitement is contagious. Why can’t everything be like that? Not just parties, or events, or games, but why can we live our lives celebrating the one who made us. I think that when we get really excited about something, we infect people with out excitement and then others want to be apart of it. I want to see teens today living out/standing up for their beliefs. If we do not do something now, no one will. I heard it said that we are probably the last generation that has any hope of changing the world and some of the situations that we face in the world today. I strongly believe that God has called us to be so much more than what we believe is within our reach. When we finally realize that there are people that need to be reached, and we become desperate to reach them, then I believe that that’s when we have woken up. We need to be the generation that helps our own generation find God and come to a point where we are all continually seeking out the lost and infecting them with out contagious spirit. That is how you start a revolution. Get people excited and make them contagious.
